Colts upset Broncos on Sunday Night Football

NFL: Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts

The Denver Broncos entered Lucas Oil Field on Sunday night with a perfect 6-0 record. Their quarterback, Peyton Manning, was having the greatest start to a season in history, and was returning to Indianapolis for the first time since leaving the team he led for 14 seasons.

Manning had probably his least-efficient game of the season, and was outplayed Sunday by Colts’ second-year quarterback Andrew Luck. The Colts held on late for a 39-30 victory.

Luck finished the game with 228 yards passing and three touchdowns to go along with a rushing touchdown as well. Manning threw for more yards (386) and three touchdowns, but threw a key interception in the fourth quarter to stall Denver’s comeback.

Former UK linebacker Danny Trevathan had eight tackles for the Broncos, and continues to lead the team in the category.
