Of all the greats to ever grace the hardwood, each and every one of them would credit a substantial portion of their success to an equally great coach somewhere along the way. For many now playing at the highest level of basketball in the world in the NBA, the coach deserving credit would be Kentucky’s John Calipari. Throughout his seven years teaching Wildcats in Lexington, Calipari’s teams have compiled 217 wins, four Final Fours and a National Championship; a résumé virtually any parent would pay to have guiding their child’s basketball dreams.
Luckily for parents and aspiring Wildcats alike, this is all possible this summer’s Coach Cal Camps. Whether you’re young or old, male or female, a beginner or experienced, Coach Cal Camps have something to offer you, per CoachCal.com:
“Each of Coach Cal’s camps offer something different, but all are dedicated to helping each camper have fun while learning new techniques, improving skills and much more.”
Coach Cal Camps include Father/Son Camps (June 10-11, June 17-18 and June 24-25, 2016), Overnight Camps (June 12-15 and June 19-22, 2016), Basketball Fantasy Experience (TBD) and Coaches’ Clinic (TBD). Throughout these camps, participants will gain guidance and knowledge from a National Championship winning coaching staff, current and former Cats and NBA player, among others.
And it’s best not to wait to secure your position within the camp, as almost every camp has sold out in each of the seven years they’ve been around. Camp ages and gender vary based on the camp. For more information on the camps, registration and prices, visit CoachCal.com, or click here.
