As September comes to an end, Keeneland’s annual yearling sale soared. The sale is the largest and most important of its kind in the world. This year grossed $280,491,300, which is a 27.6 percent increase from 2012. 2013 marked the largest gross income from the yearling sale since 2008. Each yearling sold for an average of $102,220. Keeneland hopes to keep the success in tact with their fall meet beginning October 4th. Keeneland Horse Park is located at 4201 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40510.
