UK Men’s Basketball team slid 4 spots in the latest AP Coaches poll released on Monday afternoon. Previously the team was ranked No. 3, but after a tough loss to Duke and a easy win over Lafayette, the Wildcats moved down to No. 7. The teams next game is on Wednesday against Morehead St. University, where the Cats look to extend their home win streak to 54 games, the longest active in the nation.

One of the most highly recruited high school basketball players from the class of 2012 got his first college start. Shabazz Muhammad, who plays for UCLA, got to play his first college basketball game after being cleared by the NCAA to being playing immediately for the Bruins. The Bruins, who have the No. 1 recruiting class according to ESPN, lost their first game with Muhammad to the Georgetown Hoyas 78-70.
The Chicago Bears (7-2) took on the San Francisco (6-2-1) in Monday Night Football with the 49ers prevailing 32-7.

Monday afternoon the University of Maryland, of the ACC, announced that it accepted a bid to join the Big Ten conference. Rugters University will also jump ship from the Big East conference, because of the television market deal the Big Ten will be making quickly. The exit fee for Maryland is $50 million from the ACC. Teams should begin play in the Big Ten for the 2014-2015 academic year.

UK Football will end their losing season in Knoxville, Tenn. to take on the University of Tennessee. Last season UK beat Tennessee for the first time in 26 seasons. The Wildcats look to extend their win streak to two games over the Vols.
Students will be leaving campus, as the Residence Halls close at 10 a.m., for Thanksgiving break. Students will return to campus on Sunday, as classes being on Monday. Residence Halls reopen to students at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Tuesday will have a high of 61 degrees and a low of 45 degrees. It will be partly cloudy, with the sunrise at 7:25 a.m. and a sunset at 5:23 p.m.
