UK (6-0) now tops the Associate Press college basketball Top 25 rankings as well as the ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll for the first time this season.
After North Carolina’s loss to UNLV on November 27th, and UK’s win over Radford November 26th, the weekly rankings were re-worked and UK came out on top of both polls. UK received 22 of the possible 31 votes for the first place spot in the coaches rankings and 46 of the possible 65 in the AP poll.
UK will play St. Johns on December 1 at 7:30 pm ET, before they match up with previously top ranked UNC on Saturday December 3 at noon.
