Student films on the big screen

The Student Activities Board will be hosting the Big Blue Blockbusters Competition Tuesday to highlight UK filmmakers.
Entries to the competition were due on April first and are two to ten minutes long. The SAB cinema committee will judge the films and audience will vote on their favorite.
There are three categories: narrative, documentary, and animation. All films will be judged on general film quality and editing.
The documentaries will be judged on relevance to today, focus on the topic, and the “strength and diversity” and the research and subjects according to the SAB website.
Narratives will be judged on plot, costumes and acting. Animations will  judged on plot and technically and artistic quality.
The student films will be shown at 8 p.m. in the Worsham Theater. The winning team in each category will get a Flip Ultra HD video camera and movie theater gift certificates.
