Lexington postpones trick-or-treating until Friday, Nov. 1

trick or treat
Lexington postpones trick-or-treat until Friday, Nov 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. because of bad weather.
Ky.com reports a statement from Mayor Gray : ” “We all enjoy the Halloween tradition and hate changing it, but the latest forecast has gotten worse with heavy rain and 40-50 mile per hour wind gusts, and that’s just too risky for our kids safety. So we are adjusting Lexington’s outdoor trick or treat to Friday night at 6-8 p.m. The good news is, and this is important, for families who can’t change their plans, there are several opportunities for indoor trick or treating tonight. So, tonight, kids can visit Fayette Mall, the Lyric Theater or the Kentucky Horse Park to show off costumes and enjoy some candy. ”
