Eight UK commits to compete in McDonald’s All-American games

The 2013 McDonald’s All-American games will take place tonight at the United Center in Chicago, IL. The festivities will begin with the women’s game at 7 pm EST, followed by the men’s game at 9:30.
Two women and six men participating in the event have committed to play for UK next season. In the women’s game, guard Makayla Epps of Lebanon, KY. will be playing for the East team, while Linnae Harper of Chicago, IL. will be playing for the West team.
In the men’s game, six more commits will be taking the court. Center Dakari Johnson and forward Julius Randle will be playing for the East team, while guards Andrew and Aaron Harrison, guard James Young and forward Marcus Lee will be playing for the West team.
The six men’s recruits from Kentucky are the most of any college program; no other program had more than two representatives participating in the game.
Both games will be televised on ESPN beginning at 7 pm EST.
