Senior pitcher Rachel Riley is one of 30 candidates for the LOWES Senior Class award, according to a release from the UK athletics department.
The award recognizes colleigate softball players for their achievement both on and off the field.
Riley is a force on the mound, leading the Cats in postseason career victories. Riley is also dangerous offensively, batting .354 last season. She also makes an impact off the field, earning a 3.868 GPA and staying involved in the community.
According to the release from the UK athletics,
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
