A Tornado Watch has been issued for most of the Bluegrass, until 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM (eastern KY).
A line of strong thunderstorms containing lots of lightning, small hail, heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50mph are currently moving northeastward across the Commonwealth. This line is oriented northeast to southwest from Lewis County to Lexington to Bowling Green. It will continue to trek east/northwest through the afternoon.
The expectation is that the Tornado Watch will be extended eastward to include Eastern Kentucky within the hour.
