Kentucky left Pikeville in the dust Monday night, with a 97-66 win. The exhibition game was the Cat’s first game against an opponent.
Some of UK’s standouts may be young, but they still were effective against the Bears. Freshman point guard Brandon Knight scored 22 points and Freshman Doron Lamb had 16 points.
The veteran Cats helped in the win with Darius Miller adding 21 points and nine rebounds along with DeAndre Liggins’ 18 points.
Pikeville is a NAIA program, which was led by Vance Cooksey with 15 points.
This wasn’t the only exhibition game for the Cats they will host Dillard on Friday.
