As the Spring Semester 2016 begins, a new group of Journalism and Media students take the helm at Bluecoastlive. As students in the advanced Multimedia Storytelling JOU 498 class, they are also, this semester, working in conjunction with a new local LPFM low power FM radio station, WLXL 85.7 FM in Lexington.
More than 45 UK students will turn their hands to community-based beat reporting and 3-dimensional audio multimedia as they fan out across Lexington to cover news that “matters local.”
