Watch the master of horror at work this weekend at the Kentucky Theater.
John Carpenter’s “The Thing” is playing Friday, Oct. 25 at 11:59 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. continuing the Kentucky’s “Horror Month.”
“The Thing,” originally released in 1982, stars Kurt Russell as a scientist at an Antarctic research facility attacked by a shape-shifting alien that takes the form of those it kills. Sounds fun, right?
The film has a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.1 on IMDb.
Carpenter is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and is most famous for bestowing Michael Myers upon the world, having written and directed the original “Halloween” released in 1978.
